What other words would you use to describe yourself? : Artistic, Learner, Futuristic, Empathic, Mature, Loving
How old were you when you first realised your identity? : 13-14
How old were you when you first told someone? : 15
Did you plan it? If so, how? : I didn't plan it. I just knew I was confused, and I didn't want to deal with it alone so I told a close friend.
What made you choose that person to tell? : He was a conservative Christian and I wanted him to "fix" me.
Can you remember exactly what you said? : I think I like guys.
How did you feel? : I felt introverted
What was the person’s reaction? : Disapointed and condescending.
What did they say? : God will change you life.
What was your relationship with the person like afterwards? : Abrasive.
What’s it like now? : Neutral
If you’ve been outed unwillingly, who did it? : My good friend was drunk with a group of friends while I was out.
What happened? : The bastard blurted it.
What were peoples’ reactions? : Surprisingly not surprised.
If you’ve experienced homophobia etc, please give an example. : I was always the last to walk down into the locker rooms during PE.

What does being out mean to you? : Being out means that everyone knows and that no one no longer needs to speculate behind my back.
What differences, if any, did your cultural background make to your experience of coming out? : The conservative background created an inward rejection.
What does the concept of the closet mean to you? : The Closet is a place where one's imaginary friend can come in and provide comfort. Since coming out to only close friends, I don't need to imagine anymore and they are with me in the closet as well.
What advice would you give someone wanting to come out? : Take your time. God loves you and you know it. Be just as you are.
If you could do it all again, would you do it any differently? If so, how? : I would never want to do it again, I learned so much.
