Coral Reef is in Quigney, East London, which means it's central and really close to the sea. It's also within easy reach of the city's gay club (Club Eden) as well as a bunch of other bars and restaurants - and the aquarium. There's usually a proud rainbow flag flying, but the wind murdered the last one - no worries though, as soon as you're welcomed by owner David, you'll know you're with family. The staff are friendly, the breakfast is great - included in their very reasonable rates, you get the usual buffet stuff and then a damn fine plate of sausage/bacon and eggs however you want them. That plus a big mug of filter coffee and a view of the sea and I defy anyone not to feel seriously welcome. Regular visitors will soon find out that the staff remember how you like your eggs and David will treat you like an old friend.
